We carefully review every tutor before they join our directory, looking at their experience, qualifications and understanding of home education. They will academic understanding and support, and allow your child to truly flourish, all within the safety of their own home.
These tutors are not simply teachers looking to enter the home education market. They are professional, committed and experienced, and at the top of their field.
A good tutor charges a good hourly rate but, as home educators, we need to be aware of the money we spend and also the experiences our child has when they are learning. A good tutor will offer your child enthusiasm and expertise, as well as encouragement and understanding.
We are a team of home educating parents ourselves so we make sure that each tutor you see has great understanding of home education, its values and the qualifications our children sit.

We understand the ups and downs of home educating your children because we have been there. Between us, we are home educating ten children and have experience of home educating from the start, pulling children out of school, as well as using tutors and online provision with our own children.
We grew tired of the lottery that was finding a tutor for our home educated children, and even worse was the occasional judgement, explaining and defending that sometimes happened when approaching tutors.
We created this website to save you from experiencing the distress and disappointment of a tutor who knows little to nothing about home education or, worse, is hostile to your choice.
Every single tutor on our website fully supports home education and is a specialist in the experiences, qualifications and preferences of home educators, and adapts their work accordingly.
