  • 27 years in Secondary (11–16) and Sixth Form (16–18).

    Over 27 years of experience as a fully qualified History teacher, including 17 years as Head of Humanities in outstanding secondary schools, I now run my own tuition business, My History Tutor, supporting students to build confidence, deepen their understanding, and achieve success in History.

  • I have tutored many home-educated children aged 11 to 16, including teaching the full GCSE and iGCSE History courses.

  • I teach a broad range of History topics for students aged 11 to 13, from the Roman Empire through to the modern era.

    At iGCSE and GCSE, I specialise in:

    • American Civil Rights

  • My lessons are designed to strengthen historical knowledge and understanding and to help students think critically, analyse evidence effectively, and approach their exams with greater confidence.
